During a four days workshop at Plateform C, we created a tangible video modifier.
It works with three different sensors to create all modifications. Thanks to a distance sensor, the user can slow down or speed up the video by moving the cube from left to right. The brightness sensor can saturate the image by approaching a light source on it. Then, when you press more or less strongly the pressure sensor, blur appear on the video. In addition, there are two cracks on one side of the cube in which the user can slide a blade to cut horizontally or vertically the video. In this experience, it is the Human who interacts directly with his body and his movements.
